                        Appointment of Executive Director


Following the appointment of John Trotman as the Group's Chief Financial
Officer, as announced on 21 May 2007 as part of the Company's final results, the
Board of Big Yellow is now pleased to announce John's appointment to the Board
as an Executive Director of the Company with effect from 25 September 2007.

John has been appointed to the role of Finance Director in succession to James
Gibson, who will continue to act as Chief Executive Officer of the Group.

John is a Chartered Accountant and former Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche
LLP, where he specialised in the real estate sector and self storage. After
leaving Deloitte in 2005, John worked for a subsidiary of the Kajima Corporation
involved in the large Silvertown Quays regeneration project.

There are no other matters to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rules 9.6.13R.

James Gibson, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said:

"We are delighted to welcome John to the Board. He brings first class
accountancy experience combined with very current knowledge of the real estate
and self storage sectors both of which are valuable assets as he takes the
financial reins at Big Yellow."
