Director's shareholding


Big Yellow Group PLC (the 'Company') announces that Philip Burks, an executive
director of the Company, exercised an option to acquire 238,589 Ordinary Shares
at 102 pence per share on Thursday 29th September.  This option was granted to
him under the Big Yellow Group PLC Unapproved Share Option Plan on 15th May
2002.


Mr Burks also exercised an option to acquire 29,411 Ordinary Shares at 102 pence
per share. This option was granted to him under the Big Yellow Group PLC
Approved Share Option Plan on 15th May 2002.


Following this transaction, Mr Burks' total holding in the Company is
10,396,000 shares, representing 10.23% of the issued share capital of the 
Company
