AMCO Corporation PLC
10 December 2002
AMCO Corporation plc (the 'Company')
Trading Update
In the Company's interim results announced on 4th September 2002, it was stated
that, despite delays on property development projects, a better result was
anticipated in the second half of 2002 than in the first half of 2002. However,
as a result of certain loss making contracts in a subsidiary business together
with the cost implications of employers' liability insurance in the Company's
underground mining business, your board believes that the group's results for
the year ending 31st December 2002 will be significantly below current market
expectations.
On 4th September your board also stated that it would 'reconsider the question
of an interim dividend before the end of 2002'. In light of the above
circumstances, the board does not feel it is appropriate to declare an interim
dividend.
