Finsbury Emerging Biotechnology Tst

FINSBURY EMERGING BIOTECHNOLOGY TRUST PLC
POTENTIAL SHARE ISSUE
10 March 2006
In light of the strong performance in terms of net asset value and share price
delivered since the Company's adoption of a global emerging biotechnology
mandate in May 2005 and the encouraging outlook for biotechnology companies, the
Company is exploring whether it can expand its size, thereby reducing the total
expense ratio and improving the liquidity in its shares. Any fund raising would
not be dilutive to existing holders' interests and would provide for
participation by existing holders. The Company will make further announcements
in due course after test marketing has been conducted.
