The directors of Finsbury Emerging Biotechnology Trust PLC (the "Company")
hereby announce that the Company has given to its Manager, Close Finsbury Asset
Management Limited ("CFAM"), protective notice to terminate the existing
Management, Administrative and Secretarial Services Agreement between the
Company and CFAM so that it will expire on 2 October 2007, subject to the
entitlement of the Company to withdraw the notice at any time before its expiry.
