FORscene wins sports deals
Forbidden Technologies, the AIM quoted developer of the market leading cloud video platform FORscene, is pleased to announce that FORscene has made further progress in its announced intention to enter the relatively high value sports sector.
Forbidden has licensed FORscene for third parties to use to edit dozens of concurrent high definition sports video streams this summer amounting to thousands of hours of content in aggregate. FORscene will then transcode the edited videos for export at HD resolution. The finished videos are to be distributed through third party websites for viewing by the public across several continents.
In addition, a major US TV network is using FORscene in a broadcast sports workflow.
The FORscene capabilities being used include both the frame accurate professional cloud editing and high definition transcoding components of the platform.
Stephen Streater, CEO, Forbidden Technologies, says:
"FORscene's scaleability and ability to edit content as it arrives in real time are well suited to sport. These applications demonstrate FORscene's exceptional capabilities in a major sports project."
