Molinare selects FORscene
Forbidden's Cloud-based editing platform is increasingly the tool of choice
Forbidden Technologies, the AIM quoted developer and marketer of a leading web-based video platform, today announced that post production house Molinare chose to provide FORscene to its client Studio Lambert, for the new production of 'Paradise Lost: Florida'.
Studio Lambert used FORscene, the Cloud-based video editing platform, for the production of 'Paradise Lost: Florida', a new 1x60min programme following the lives of Britons who have chosen to relocate to Florida, to be broadcast on ITV1 later this year.
FORscene allowed digital material, shot in XDCAM, to be split-digitised into local storage and FORscene Load hardware for compression and uploading into the FORscene Cloud. Browser access enabled production staff to remotely view daily clips and add metadata based on the individual stories being followed for the series. Frame accurate searchable metadata meant clips could be ordered according to story once the production team moved to the edit suite, saving time and ensuring the efficient use of post production resources.
Molinare's endorsement of Forbidden's FORscene Cloud-based video editing platform is further proof of the growing demand for flexible editing tools which allow users to access and edit material from remote locations via web browsers.
Jo Crawley, Head of Production, Studio Lambert, said:
"We've used FORscene on a number of productions because of the savings it delivers. FORscene gives our staff the flexibility to work in the office, on location or at the post house without having to worry about duplication or carrying sensitive content with them."
Kate George, Head of Post Production at Molinare post production, commented:
"Clients are increasingly looking to gain access to material outside of the post house building. The FORscene solution includes a powerful set of tools. We found it quick and easy to set-up."
Pete Burns, Project Manager, Forbidden Technologies said:
"We're pleased to be working with Molinare. FORscene is becoming a standard service provided by post-production companies. FORscene gives major production companies the advantages of greater quality control in the editorial processes."
