FORBIDDEN TECHNOLOGIES PLC
Technology Progress
Forbidden Technologies plc, which is developing technology for
video distribution over the internet, announces the result of
the initial trials.
The initial trials have proved successful and are now entering
stage three - to widen video testing across a broader user base.
To date, video has been compressed by a factor of up to 2000
times and can be viewed without additional software being
installed. The trials are being conducted using shareholders'
existing hardware.
The technology also appears to allow transmission of some videos
over existing internet links, thereby enabling video
distribution outside the constraints of broadcast television.
The first trial product is on schedule to be launched this year
and as the Company moves towards the launch, the web site will
be updated to demonstrate the progress made.
