The Board of F&C Latin American Investment Trust PLC announces the following
with effect from 31 March 2006:-


Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Limited has been appointed as Investment
Manager in place of F&C Emerging Markets Limited.


Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Group Services Limited has been appointed as
Company Secretary in place of F&C Emerging Markets Limited.


The registered office of the Company has been changed to 33 King William Street,
London EC4R 9AS.


The Board also announces that the Company's share price will be quoted in pounds
sterling rather than US dollars with effect from 3 April 2006.
