EXERCISE OF WARRANTS


F&C Latin American Investment Trust PLC announces that warrant holders have
exercised their right to subscribe for a total of 1,323,143 ordinary shares of
10 cents each. Accordingly the Company has today allotted 1,323,143 ordinary
shares at the fixed subscription price of US$1.00 per share.

Following this exercise there are 71,093,335 ordinary shares in issue. A total
of 9,051,707 warrants remain outstanding.
