F&C LATIN AMERICAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
The Board of F&C Latin American Investment Trust PLC ('LAIT') announces that
Rupert Brandt will succeed Emily McLaughlin as fund manager with immediate
effect. Emily has decided to leave F&C to pursue other career development
opportunities.
Rupert is 33 years old and joined F&C in 1994. He has been closely involved with
the management of LAIT since 1998 and has particular responsibility for
investments in Mexico and Argentina.
Peter Burnell, the Chairman of LAIT, said 'We are sorry to see Emily leave. She
has managed the fund effectively over a lengthy period with the support of a
talented team and we wish her every success in the future. We are pleased that
she will be succeeded by Rupert Brandt who has extensive experience of Latin
America and our trust. We are confident shareholders will continue to be well
served by F&C.'
