F&C Latin American Investment Trust PLC (the 'Company') - changes to management
arrangements


Following the resignation of the Company's nominated manager from F&C Asset
Management, the Board of the Company have reviewed the capabilities of managers
across the Latin American sector. As a result of this thorough review, the Board
have decided to appoint a new manager and further details will be announced
shortly.


The Board has also reviewed the existing discount control mechanism which it
intends to change.


In addition it is the Board's intention to put a conditional tender offer to
existing shareholders at the time of the Company's annual general meeting to be
held on 8 May 2006 to offer them a partial cash exit at a discount to the net
asset value. Further details of all of these proposals will be announced
shortly.
