Portfolio Manager Change

The Board of F&C Latin American Investment Trust PLC has been advised by F&C
Management that Rupert Brandt, the Company's lead portfolio manager, will be
leaving F&C at the end of March. The Board is reviewing with F&C its proposed
management arrangements for the Company, and will make a further announcement in
due course. Rupert will continue to manage the Company's portfolio in the
meantime.
