The Board of The Throgmorton Trust PLC is pleased to announce that Mr Richard
Bernays has been appointed as a non-executive director of the Trust with
effect from 9 January 2002. Mr Bernays, 58, who is currently Chairman of
Martin Currie Income and Growth Trust, has spent more than thirty years in the
investment management field. After twenty-one years with Mercury Asset
Management, he became Chief Executive of Hill Samuel Asset Management in 1991
and was subsequently Chief Executive of Old Mutual International from 1998 to
2001.
Mr Bernays is also a director of the following publicly quoted companies:-
English & Scottish Investors plc
GFM Cossack Bond Company Limited
Gartmore Capital Strategy Fund Limited
Singer & Friedlander AIM 3 VCT plc
In respect of paragraph 6F2 (b) to (g) of the Listing Rules, there are no
circumstances to report.
