Bloomsbury Publishing Plc today announces the listing of 219,932 ordinary shares
of 1.25 pence per share to satisfy the deferred consideration in relation to the
acquisition of Berlin Verlag announced on 23 April 2003.

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange and UK Listing Authority
for the admission of these shares to the Official List. Listing is expected to
become effective on 6 January 2005.
