The  Company  was  today notified by HSBC that Global  Investor
Services  is  interested, as trustee of  an  unauthorised  unit
trust,  in  720,664 ordinary shares of 5p each in  the  Company
('Ordinary  Shares'), which represents 5.12 per  cent.  of  the
issued share capital of the Company, following the delivery  of
300,000  Ordinary Shares traded on 14 June 2000.  This  holding
is  registered in the name of HSBC Global Custody Nominee  (UK)
Limited a/c 000379.
