Fidelity - Notification of increase in notifiable interest

FMR Corp. of Boston, Massachusetts and Fidelity International Limited of Bermuda
(together 'Fidelity') notified the company on 14 November 2002 that it had
increased its material interest to a holding of 23,333,100 shares of Bodycote
International plc representing 9.10% of Bodycote's issued share capital, and
that such notification also comprised the interest of Edward C. Johnson III as a
principal shareholder of Fidelity.
