Appointment of Robert Bouquet as Non-executive Director

The board of Botswana Diamonds is pleased to announce the appointment as of June 1^st 2011 of Robert Bouquet as a non-executive Director of the company.

Robert Bouquet has over 16 years' experience in the global diamond industry having spent most of his career with leading producers De Beers and Rio Tinto Diamonds in a variety of strategic and commercial roles. On appointment, he will be granted options over 250,000 ordinary shares in Botswana Diamonds. These options have an exercise price of 6 pence, vest immediately, and expire on 27 May 2018.

Disclosures required pursuant to Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules for Companies in respect of Mr Bouquet are set out below.
