Notice of Interest in Shares

We hereby notify you in accordance with Part VI of the Companies Act 1985 (the
Act) that 

(a)  as at 19 December 2006 Suntera Resources Ltd of Katalanou 4, Flat/Office 
     102, P.C. 2121, Nicosia, Cyprus, was interested for the purposes of the Act
     in 9,938,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each comprised in the relevant
     share capital, as defined in section 198(2) of the Act, of Bowleven plc
     (the Relevant Shares);

(b)  Suntera Resources Ltd is the registered holder of 4,438,000 of the Relevant
     Shares. Registration of the issue of 5,500,000 of the Relevant Shares has
     not yet taken place. Such Relevant Shares will be registered in the name of 
     Suntera Resources Ltd.

(c)  None of the Relevant Shares are shares in which Suntera Resources Ltd is
     interested by virtue of section 208(5) of the Act.
