Change to Board of Directors

Burmah Castrol PLC 11 July 2000 Following the announcement by BP Amoco dated 7 July 2000, to The London Stock Exchange declaring its bid for Burmah Castrol unconditional, following receipt of valid acceptances in respect of approximately 67 per cent of Burmah Castrol's share capital, taking BP Amoco's total holding to approximately 86.4%, we wish to inform you of the following changes to the Board of Burmah Castrol Plc. 1. With effect from 10 July 2000, Mr J.M. Fry, Mr T.E.P. Stevenson, Mr B.Hardy, Mr B.E. Magnusson, Mr G.M.N. Corbett and Mr P. Scaroni resigned as Directors of the Board. 2. The following new Directors were appointed as Executive Directors of Burmah Castrol Plc with effect from 10 July 2000: Mr David Baldry. Mr Baldry is Group Vice President, Lubricants of BP Amoco Plc. There are no details to be disclosed in accordance with 16.4 of the listing rules. Mr Tony Considine. Mr Considine is the Business Unit Leader of the Marine Lubricants Unit within BP Amoco. There are no details to be disclosed in accordance with 16.4 of the listing rules. Dr John Briggs. Dr riggs is the Business Unit Leader of the Specialised Industrial lubricants unit within BP Amoco. There are no details to be disclosed in accordance with 16.4 of the listing rules.
