We have today been advised by Dr J.G.S. Buchanan, a Director of BP p.l.c., that
he has disposed of an interest in 2,000 BP Ordinary shares by way of gifts to
family members of 1,000 shares registered in his own name and 1,000 shares held
by his wife, the disposals vesting on 27 May 2002.
