The Company has been notified today that an employee has acquired 452 ordinary
shares of 10p each as the result of the exercise of a SAYE option at a price of
199 pence per share.

Application will be made to the UK Listing Authority for admission of these
additional 452 ordinary shares to the Official List and to the London Stock
Exchange for admission to trading, with effect from 16 May 2005. Following this
admission the total issue and authorised ordinary share capital is 19,453,768.
