                               Directors' Dealing


The Board was informed yesterday that Alan Marsh, Chief Executive, yesterday
acquired 6,700 ordinary shares at a price of 370 pence per share and 18,300
ordinary shares at a price of 383.16 pence per share.  Accordingly, Mr Marsh now
owns 1,113,502 ordinary shares, representing 5.72 per cent. of the issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.


The Board also announces that yesterday James Kidwell, Finance Director, was
awarded 7,500 ordinary shares pursuant to the Group's Deferred Bonus Plan and
these shares will form part of Mr Kidwell's beneficial interest on the third
anniversary of the award.  Mr Kidwell currently owns 6,000 ordinary shares,
representing 0.03 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
