The Company has received notification, in accordance with sections 198 to 202 of
the Companies Act 1985, that as at 14 December 2006 Barclays PLC and its
subsidiaries had a notifiable interest in 1,237,762 ordinary shares,
representing 6.13 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
