                         SEASCOPE SHIPPING HOLDINGS PLC

            Appointment of John Denholm as a non-executive director

Seascope Shipping Holdings PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of John
Denholm, as a non-executive director to its Board. John is also Chairman of J&J
Denholm, a leading British shipping services group and the Anglo Eastern
Management Group Limited. His other directorships include the Baltic
International Maritime Council, Murray Emerging Growth & Income Trust Plc and
The Chamber of Shipping Limited. Seascope confirms that there are no further
details to disclose in respect of John Denholm under paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g)
of the UKLA Listing Rules.


Commenting on his appointment Alan Marsh, Chief Executive Officer, said:
