Braemar launches new brand identity to support its streamlined strategy
· Braemar has now sold all its non-core assets and is reorganising around an integrated and streamlined offer.
· Braemar's focus is to provide expert advice in shipping investment, chartering, and risk management.
· To support this reorganisation, Braemar has developed a unified brand identity and overhauled its communication platforms.
· Braemar pledges to incorporate climate-smart expertise into its client services, and it commits to four UN SDGs.
Braemar, a leading global shipbroker, today announces the launch of a new, single brand identity to support the strategy launched last year and deliver enhanced value to its clients. Braemar's new integrated and streamlined corporate strategy focuses on shipbroking and corporate finance.
The shipping market is growing in complexity as environmental regulation and economic necessity combine to increase the importance of the expert advice that Braemar provides. Over the last 18 months, to support its strategy, Braemar has divested all its non-core assets, invested in leading digital technologies, expanded its global footprint, and added highly capable staff.
Braemar has a new purpose and vision, it is investing to facilitate climate-smart shipping, and Braemar is the only shipping services company to publicly align its ESG framework with four of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Braemar's new branding is a statement of intent about how it will align its environmental and commercial ambitions, and the upgraded brand represents a promise from a trusted partner that it will continue to deliver service excellence for its clients.
James Gundy, Braemar's CEO, commented, "The shipbroking division was always Braemar's driving force, and my vision for the Company since day one was to take the business back to its basics. Our expertise is shipbroking and corporate finance, and we're going to stick to what we know because that's where we provide the most value to our clients."
Gundy continued, "It takes expertise and experience to secure sustainable returns and mitigate risk in the volatile world of shipping. From the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) and the EU's Emissions Trading System to sanctions and ship recycling there's no shortage of challenges ahead for our clients. For our experienced, expert team this presents a huge opportunity - financially, socially, and environmentally."
Tris Simmonds, Braemar's COO, commented, "Over the last 18 months we've invested in our people and technology, implemented a focused programme of change, and created a new brand identity that clearly represents our values and our future as a sustainable shipbroker. However, there will be no resting on our laurels. We will be working hard to bring even more value to our clients, and to help Braemar achieve its full potential."
