                            Appointment of Director



Swallowfield is pleased to announce a further strengthening of the senior team
by the appointment of Group Sales and Marketing Director, Jane Fletcher, to the
main Swallowfield Board of Directors.



Jane has worked for the Company for eight years, including a period as Sales and
Marketing Director of the Aerosols business.  Prior to working for the Group
Jane gained valuable experience in product selection and design with major
retailer Marks & Spencer.



There are no details to be disclosed under paragraph 16.4 of the listing rules.
