Swallowfield Plc announces that it was informed on 12 April 2002 that Hunter
Hall Global Ethical Trust purchased 430,000 shares in the Company on 5th March
2002.  As a result, Hunter Hall Global Ethical Trust is now interested in
467,000 shares in the Company representing approximately 4.15 per cent. of the
issued share capital.



Swallowfield Plc was also informed on 12 April 2002 that Hunter Hall Value
Growth Trust has no longer a notifiable interest in the Company.
