Rightster announces transition to new Chief Executive
Rightster announces today that its Chief Executive, Charlie Muirhead, has stepped down as CEO and will be succeeded by Chief Commercial Officer, Patrick Walker, who will take over with immediate effect. Mr Walker will also be appointed to the Board of the Company in due course.
Patrick Walker has held a number of senior roles in the sector. He worked at Base79, which was acquired by Rightster, as Chief Content Officer after serving 8 years with Google and YouTube as the Senior Director of Content Partnerships, where he was responsible for launching and managing YouTube in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Since the acquisition in 2014 he has served as the Group Chief Commercial Officer.
Patrick will be supported by Niall Dore, who will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer, and the Company will be appointing a Chief Operating Officer in due course. Charlie Muirhead will continue to be a member of the Board.
