Envestors funding sets Fertility Focus on growth path

Envestors Limited, the award-winning private investor network dedicated to helping investors source dynamic companies in need of growth capital, has participated in a £1.2 million equity fundraising for Fertility Focus Limited.

Fertility Focus, a UK company that specialises in fertility diagnosis and treatment, secured the money from a number of new investors including Envestors' members, Midven's Exceed Fund and the Angel CoFund. One Envestors member was instrumental in bringing in the Angel CoFund. Envestors contributed to an earlier fundraising round, of £500,000, in November 2011.

Envestors is a wholly owned subsidiary of Braveheart Investment Group plc (BRH), the AIM-listed investment management group specialising in venture capital investments and investment services to business angels, high net worth individuals, family offices and public sector organisations.

The investment comes shortly after the international publication of successful trial results and the European launch of Fertility Focus's OvuSense product.  OvuSense is a fertility monitor that accurately identifies and predicts a woman's fertile period to help couples trying to conceive. It is also able to detect the absence of ovulation and is winning favour with clinicians as a tool to assist in the early diagnosis of fertility issues.

West Midlands-based Fertility Focus is obtaining approval for the product to be used in the United States, and the investment will help complete that process and the roll-out of products around the world.
