RESIGNATION - PIET BEYERS
14 June 2007
Piet Beyers will be retiring from the Board of Richemont on 30 June 2007 and, as
a consequence, he will also be resigning as a Non-Executive Director from the
Board of British American Tobacco p.l.c. with effect from the same date.
R & R Holdings S.A. is expected to nominate a new Director to represent
Richemont's interests in British American Tobacco in due course.
Jan du Plessis, Chairman of British American Tobacco, said "I would like to
thank Piet for the contribution he has made to our Board and wish him every
success for the future".
