Management Changes at British American Tobacco
Jean-Marc Levy, currently Director, Western Europe, will be appointed Group Marketing Director at British American Tobacco with effect from 1 January 2010, on the retirement of Jimmi Rembiszewski. Jean-Marc will become Deputy Group Marketing Director on 1 October 2009, when he will be succeeded by Jack Bowles, who is currently the Managing Director of British American Tobacco Malaysia.
Jean-Marc, who is Swiss, joined British American Tobacco in 1993 as a Consumer Marketing Manager in Switzerland. He subsequently held a number of Marketing and General Management positions before becoming Regional Director, Western Europe, in 2008.
Jack, who is French, joined the Group in 2004 and became Chairman of British American Tobacco France in 2005. He took up his current role in 2007. Jack will be succeeded by William Toh who is currently Area Director Indonesia Cluster. A separate announcement will be made to the Stock Exchange in Malaysia.
