Notification is made in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14R(2) that Dr Gerry Murphy, Non-Executive Director of British American Tobacco p.l.c., has been appointed as a non-executive director and Chairman-designate of Tate & Lyle PLC, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange Main Market, with effect from 1 January 2017 and will become Chairman of that company on 1 April 2017.
