The British American Tobacco p.l.c. Quarterly Report for the three months to 31
March 2006, together with a letter to shareholders advising of the appointment
of Computershare Investor Services PLC as the Company's new Registrar with
effect from 5 June 2006, was mailed to shareholders today.
