announces the following appointments


Lucinda Bell, MA, FCA, has been appointed Head of Tax with effect from 1st
April, 2001 on the retirement of Geoffrey Selwyn, BCom (Acc), FCA, FTII, who
will remain a consultant.

Nicholas Bates, BSc, ARICS; Paul Burgess; Steven Rickard, BSc, ARICS; Nigel
Webb, BSc, ARICS; and Mark Wright, BSc, ARICS, are appointed directors of The
British Land Corporation Limited, the principal management and operating
company of the Group.
