The Company announces that it received notification today from the Trustees
of The British Land Share Ownership Plan (the 'Trust') that on 2 June 2008 the
Trust released 218,794 ordinary 25p shares of the Company to participants in the
Company's Long-Term Incentive Plan (the 'Plan'), pursuant to an award made on
31 May 2005, which partially vested on attainment of the performance target.
The Trust is a discretionary Trust established for the benefit of employees,
including Executive Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibilities of the Company, to facilitate the operation of its share
incentive schemes. Executive Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibilities of the Company who are participants in these schemes are
consequently considered to be interested in the shares held by the Trust, as
discretionary beneficiaries.
The Trust also notified the Company yesterday that, of the above shares released
by the Trust, some were released to Executive Directors and Persons Discharging
Managerial Responsibility of the Company as shown in the table below. 232,163
options awarded on 31 May 2005 under this Plan also vested yesterday, on
partial attainment of the performance target, for Executive Directors and Persons
Discharging Managerial Responsibility as shown in the table below:

Following this vesting, on 2 June 2008, Stephen Hester sold 16,831 shares,
Graham Roberts sold 9,257 shares, Tim Roberts sold 2,993 shares, Tony Braine
sold 2,777 shares, Peter Clarke sold 2,899 shares and Nigel Webb sold 2,619 shares,
all at a price of 778p per share.
In accordance with the rules of the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan, rights awarded , on 31 May 2005, to Stephen Hester over 10,262 Performance Shares and options over 30,787 shares, Graham Roberts over 5,644 Performance Shares and options over 16,933 shares, Tim Roberts over 1,824 Performance Shares and options over 2,737 shares, Tony Braine over 1,693 Performance Shares and options over 2,540 shares, Peter Clarke over 1,767 Performance Shares and options over 2,651 shares and Nigel Webb over 1,596 Performance Shares and options over 2,394 shares, lapsed on 2 June 2008.
