The British Land Company PLC announces the following transaction in the
Company's ordinary shares of 25p by a Director of the Company which was
notified to the Company on 13th November 2000.
The purchase by Mr C Metliss of 33 shares at a price of 418p per share into a
Personal Equity Plan on 31st October 2000.
This purchase represents the investment of dividends, tax credit and other
income by way of standing instructions.
