EXECUTIVE BOARD CHANGE CONFIRMED 

Further to British Land's announcement of September 23, 2009, the company confirms that Andrew Jones has tendered his resignation today as Executive Director and Head of Retail. He will leave the company January 31, 2010. 

Two other senior members of the retail team - Valentine Beresford and Mark Stirling - have also tendered their resignations.

Chris Grigg, Chief Executive, British Land, said: "Andrew has done an excellent job for British Land and has helped develop a highly skilled retail team. The team provides outstanding management of our retail portfolio and is well qualified to capitalise on the excellent opportunities we see emerging over the next stage of the cycle. We wish Andrew, Valentine and Mark well for the future."  

Andrew Jones, said: "I have very much enjoyed my four years with the Company and am pleased to be leaving it so strongly positioned for the future and in very good hands. However, I am excited about the new opportunities and challenges that this market will undoubtedly provide."
