number of its ordinary shares of 25p each on the London Stock Exchange.

Highest price paid per share:                                 1,365p

Lowest price paid per share:                                  1,330p

Average price per share:                                      1,346.5551p

The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Following the purchase of these shares, the Company holds 4,750,000 of its
ordinary shares in treasury and has 516,878,218 ordinary shares in issue
(excluding treasury shares).
