The company wishes to announce the exercise of options under the Company Share
Option Plan and the Company Unapproved Discretionary Share Option Scheme 2000 by
Mr D Moore (Finance Director) and also the sale of shares by Mr Moore as
detailed on the enclosed disclosure form. 

On 21 May 2007 the N Brown Group plc No. 2 Employee Share Ownership Trust (the
Trust), in which Mr Alan White (Chief Executive) and Mr Dean Moore (Finance
Director) are technically interested as potential beneficiaries, received
144,000 shares (which had been issued by the Company upon Mr Moore paying an
exercise price of £1.25 per share) in connection with the exercises referred to
above and following the sale of the said 144,000 shares, the number of shares
held by the Trust is 70,491.
