APPOINTMENT OF NEW GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR
N Brown Group plc today announces the appointment of a new Group Finance
Director. Dean Moore will join the Company and the Board as an executive
director on 24th November. Dean, aged 46, was Group Finance Director of T & S
Stores plc until it was acquired by Tesco plc in early 2003. From 1996 to 1999
he was Group Finance Director of Graham Group plc and he has held a number of
other senior finance positions since he qualified as a chartered accountant with
Grant Thornton.
Alan White, Chief Executive of N Brown Group said: 'I am delighted Dean has
agreed to join the group. His appointment completes a restructuring of the Home
Shopping Board over the last few months which has significantly increased the
level of retailing and home shopping experience.'
Tim Kowalski, the current Group Finance Director, will be leaving the Group on a
mutually agreed basis to pursue a number of other interests. He will step down
from the Board and leave the Company on 2nd December 2003 following the
appropriate handover period.
Sir David Alliance, Chairman of N Brown Group said: 'On behalf of the Company, I
wish to thank Tim for his contribution to the development of N Brown. He leaves
the Group with a sound balance sheet and we wish him well in his future career.'
There are no details that require to be disclosed under paragraphs 6F2(b) - (g)
of the Listing Rules.
