N BROWN GROUP ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF JOINT BROKER

The Board of N Brown Group plc, the Manchester-based direct catalogue home
shopping company, today announces it has appointed Hoare Govett Limited, a
member of the ABN AMRO Group, to act alongside CSFB as broker to the company
with immediate effect.
