The directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Carolan Dobson to the board of The Brunner Investment Trust PLC as a non-executive director with effect from 1 December 2013.  

Carolan is currently a Reporting Panel Member of the Competition Commission and is Chair of its Finance and Regulation Group. Carolan acts as a trustee and adviser to a number of corporate and Local Government Pension Funds and sports organisations. She is Chairman of Aberdeen Smaller Companies High Income Trust plc and of JP Morgan European Smaller Companies Plc. She was previously head of UK equities at Abbey Asset Managers, Head of Investment Trusts at Murray Johnstone and was the portfolio manager of two investment trusts.

There are no other details requiring disclosure in respect of this appointment under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the FCA.
