The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces the appointment of Richard K A
Wakeling as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect. 
Richard Wakeling is Chairman of Henderson Technology Trust PLC.  He is also a
non-executive director of Logica plc, Oxford Instruments and Henderson Geared
Income & Growth Trust Plc.  He was formerly Chief Executive of Johnson Matthey
PLC.

In connection with the appointment, the Company confirms that there are no
details to be disclosed as otherwise required by paragraph 16.4 of the Listing
Rules.
