The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 27th March 2002 it
re-purchased 75,000 Ordinary 25p Shares, (representing 0.13% of the issued class
of capital), at 353p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the re-purchased 75,000 Ordinary Shares is due on
3rd April 2002 when the issued share capital of the Trust will fall to
59,113,416 Ordinary 25p Shares.
