The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 10th May 2002 it re-purchased
130,000 Ordinary 25p Shares, (representing 0.22% of the issued class of
capital), at 345p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the re-purchased 130,000 Ordinary Shares is due
on 15th May 2002 when the issued share capital of the Trust will fall to
58,603,416 Ordinary 25p Shares.
