The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 21st June 2002 it
re-purchased 40,000 Ordinary 25p Shares, (representing 0.069% of the issued
class of capital), at 312p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the re-purchased 40,000 Ordinary Shares is due on
26th June 2002 when the issued share capital of the Trust will fall to
58,123,416 Ordinary 25p Shares.
