The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 28th May 2003 it re-purchased
35,000 Ordinary 25p Shares, (representing 0.06% of the issued class of capital),
at 244p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the re-purchased 35,000 Ordinary Shares is due on
2nd June 2003 when the issued share capital of the Trust will fall to 56,765,416
Ordinary 25p Shares.
