The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 14th June 2001 it
re-purchased 500,000 Ordinary 25p Shares, (representing 0.83% of the issued
class of capital), at 439p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the re-purchased 500,000 Ordinary Shares is due
on 19th June 2001 when the issued share capital of the Trust will fall to
59,783,419 Ordinary 25p Shares.
