The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 26 July 2006 it purchased
25,000 Ordinary 25p Shares, (representing 0.05% of the issued class of capital),
at 380p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the purchased 25,000 Ordinary Shares is due on 31
July 2006 when the issued share capital of the Trust will fall to 48,881,838
Ordinary 25p Shares.
